A Right from the Divine: A Conservative Anthem for Free Speech (Are We Free Here Anymore?)

Alright, gather ’round, patriots. Have you heard the anthem of our times? It’s called ‘A Right From the Divine. (Are We Free Here Anymore?)’ A drop of pure patriotism in the ocean of today’s politically correct chaos. Let’s take a closer look at its powerful, hymn-like verses that highlight what it means to stand up for our God-given rights. In an era where the liberals seem more interested in censoring conservative voices than upholding the freedom of speech that our forefathers literally died for, this song is a breath of fresh air.

Verse 1:
In the land of the free, where the brave once stood tall,
Those that came before us fought for the rights of us all.
Many lay down their lives to protect our Freedom to take a side,
It’s a torch passed down with pride, But somehow that spirit has died.

Now, isn’t that the truth? You see, the Trump administration knew a thing or two about preserving freedoms. They empowered American patients by greatly expanding healthcare choice, transparency, and affordability including the “Right to Try” Act, signed into law in May 2018. Oh, how we long for those days when that spirit was alive and kicking! But today’s so-called leaders are more concerned with boosting their own socialist agendas than preserving our Constitution.

Chorus 1: The Battle for Free Speech

Chorus 1:
The stars and stripes still wave, but are we free here anymore?
When the voice of half our nation is canceled or ignored.
In our land of endless dreams, let’s lay our hearts on the line,
Defend our precious Freedom, it’s a right from the Divine.

This chorus brings to mind the travesty of ‘cancel culture’. The complex dynamics of cancel culture in the U.S., lives at the intersection of social media, corporate responsibility, and public opinion. Widespread scrutiny and actions against individuals and institutions have increasingly resulted from merely voicing one’s beliefs. Individuals have been fired from jobs, blocked online, or have gone quiet, afraid to speak their mind, canceled. ‘Are we free here anymore?’ It’s a valid question when speech that doesn’t toe the leftist line is quickly silenced or labeled as ‘misinformation’.

Verse 2: The Erosion of Tradition

Verse 2: On battlefields, sons fell for a truth we hold dear,
A right to speak our minds, without judgment or fear.
We have strayed from our traditions, rewriting the words of history
Indoctrinating our children, leaving our world no longer free.

Indeed, there’s a rewrite of history going on, and not the good kind. With school boards pushing Critical Race Theory without so much as a consultation with parents. It’s like they’re trying to turn our schools into indoctrination camps! God bless the Trump administration for its staunch defense against this erosion. They pushed for guidelines to protect the most vulnerable while allowing Americans to safely return to work during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that’s what I call leadership!

Bridge: The Swamp Creatures

Bridge:
Creatures from the swamp dictate right and wrong by decree,
Censoring voices that dare to disagree.

Ah yes, the swamp. Let’s not forget Executive Orders mandating masks on federal property which Biden himself broached within hours of signing. And how many people are blocked on social media platforms for simply stating their beliefs? Talk about “rules for thee, but not for me”! Remember how Trump ended the job-killing Trans-Pacific Partnership and geared trade deals to defend American workers? That’s what swamp draining looks like. With Democrats in office? We may as well just unlock the jailhouse and let all the prisoners go free. Oh, that’s what happened, didn’t it?

Chorus 2: Standing Firm

Chorus 2:
The stars and stripes still wave, but are we free here anymore?
When the voice of half our nation is canceled or ignored.
In our land, we stand to hold, you say your peace I’ll say mine
Defend our solemn Freedom, it’s a right from the Divine.

The Trump administration instilled transparency and fairness, whether it be through healthcare or trade. Those were the days when you could say what you believed without the wrath of a social media mob descending upon you. Let’s bring that back, shall we?

Outro: A Call to Action

Outro:
Remember every soldier, those who’ve fallen and those who pray
For their right to be heard, no matter what they need to say.
In our land of endless hope, let’s lay our hearts on the line,
Defend our solemn Freedom, it’s a right from the Divine.

So, as we sing ‘A Right From the Divine,’ let’s hold tight to the achievements of yesteryears and strive for a future that honors those who fought for these freedoms. Let’s call out incompetence when we see it and cherish the values that made America great. The torch of liberty might be flickering, but with a bit of elbow grease and a hearty embrace of true conservative values, we can turn it into a bonfire!

And let’s not forget, while the left is busy trying to figure out how many genders it takes to screw in a lightbulb, conservatives are out here fighting for real issues. Remember when AOC cried at an empty parking lot? Or when Bernie Sanders praised bread lines? It’s like they’re competing in the Oppression Olympics while we’re trying to keep the lights on in this country.

The Biden administration might be fumbling around in the dark, but we’ve got the torch of liberty, folks. Let’s use it to shine a light on their incompetence and light the way back to true American values. After all, as Ronald Reagan said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.” So let’s make sure this generation doesn’t drop the ball… and Defend our Precious Freedom, It’s a Right from the Divine.
